Memphis TN

We just recently returned from Memphis, Tennessee, home of rock and roll and the blues. The trip included a visit to Graceland–the ultimate in kitsch, circa the 70s. We paid a visit to Sun City recording studios, where Elvis started recording. They give tours by day, and it’s a working studio at night. U2, Ringo and a host of others have also recorded there. Mary Anne, can be seen here at a microphone Elvis used.

The National Civil Rights Museum is also located in Memphis at the Lorraine Hotel where Dr. Martin Luther King was murdered. It is well worth a visit.
